How Dental Codes Work

CDT Code / ADA Dental Codes – Purpose of the code: Provide uniformity, consistency and specificity in accurately reporting of dental treatment.

D0100 – D0999: Diagnostic – diagnose something for the patient

Examples: X-rays, Exams, etc..

D1000 – D1999: Preventative – procedures done that help the patient stay healthy

Examples: Cleanings, Fluoride, etc…
